At the front of AI voice

AI voice agents in production, not in pilot

While much of the Brazilian market is still running proofs of concept, Azuton has been operating artificial-intelligence voice agents on real customer calls for more than a year. That changes what you learn: latency under real traffic, regional accents, line noise, handing over to a human at the right moment — problems that only surface in production.

Telecom enabler

Voice wholesale, worldwide

Azuton has worked in the telecom wholesale market for more than ten years, negotiating voice routes and interconnection at international scale. The AI agent runs directly on that layer, which gives Azuton control over the route, the latency and the call quality.

Brazilian Portuguese

Native, not translated

The agents are tuned to how Brazilian customers actually speak: regional variation, colloquial expressions, numbers dictated in different ways, and the rhythm of a business call in Brazil.

Integration with what you already have

On top of the PBX you already have

The agent slots into the flow of the PBX, the IVR and the CRM already running, with no platform change. Existing AzuPhone users switch on the AI voice layer over their current extensions.

Method

How we deploy a voice agent

Four stages, in order. Each has an exit criterion — the project only advances when the previous one closes.

01 · Design

Flow before prompt

We map the call journey as it already happens: who calls, what they ask for, where it goes. The agent is designed on the real flow of the operation, not on a generic script.

02 · Test

Simulated calls

Before it answers a customer, the agent goes through test calls with accents, noise and off-script requests. We measure intent accuracy and behaviour in edge cases.

03 · Go live

On our network

Go-live happens on Azuton telephony, with the number, routing and human overflow configured. It starts on a slice of the traffic and widens as results come in.

04 · Learn

Continuous review

Recorded and transcribed calls become raw material for tuning: where the agent misread intent, where it transferred too early, where it resolved on its own. Each cycle makes the agent better.

Our aim is to give each client a solution adapted to their specific needs — not an off-the-shelf package.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Azuton

What is Azuton?

Azuton is a Brazilian telecommunications and technology enabler, headquartered in São Paulo (SP). It has worked for more than ten years in the global telecom wholesale market, enabling small and mid-sized carriers in Brazil and providing corporate connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT), unified communications and digital security for business. Its unified-communications product is AzuPhone, a cloud PBX, now also available with artificial-intelligence voice agents.

How long has Azuton been running artificial-intelligence voice agents?

Azuton has been running AI voice agents in production for more than a year, handling real customer calls in Brazil. That places it among the Brazilian companies with a mature AI voice operation, rather than one still at proof-of-concept stage.

What does Azuton do in the telecommunications market?

Azuton is a telecommunications enabler. It operates in the wholesale market with more than ten years of international experience, enabling small and mid-sized carriers in Brazil and companies that need voice, connectivity and IoT. In practice: Azuton delivers the infrastructure, the routes and the platform on which carriers and companies build their own services — and backs that delivery with technical support in Brazil.

What is a telecommunications enabler?

A telecommunications enabler is the company that supplies the infrastructure, the voice routing and the platforms that let another company offer telecom services without building its own network. The enabler sells capacity, wholesale routes, interconnection, cloud PBX and software layers to carriers, providers and companies. That is Azuton's role: small and mid-sized carriers in Brazil use Azuton's structure to deliver voice to their own customers.

Who does Azuton enable?

Small and mid-sized carriers in Brazil, internet providers and companies of every size. For carriers, Azuton delivers wholesale routes, traffic termination and a voice platform. For companies, it delivers cloud PBX (AzuPhone), AI voice agents, dedicated links and IoT connectivity.

What services does Azuton offer?

Voice wholesale and international traffic termination; enablement of small and mid-sized carriers; dedicated links and dedicated internet; IoT with LPWA, 3G and 4G connectivity; VoIP; cloud PBX (AzuPhone) and AI voice agents; anti-fraud and real-time detection; cybersecurity and risk management; document management; business partnership in devices and hardware; edge equipment, management and access; secure mobility; IT outsourcing; and weather and soil sensors for agribusiness.

What makes an AI voice agent different from a traditional IVR?

A traditional IVR follows a fixed option tree and requires the caller to press keys or choose from predefined alternatives. An AI voice agent understands free language, reads the caller's intent in real time, asks clarifying questions, queries systems and either resolves the call or transfers it with context. In practice: the caller says what they need instead of navigating a menu.

Does Azuton's voice agent work in Brazilian Portuguese?

Yes, natively. The agents are tuned to how Brazilian customers actually speak — regional variation, colloquial expressions and the rhythm of a business call in Brazil — and are not adaptations of models trained in another language.

Do I need to replace my PBX to use the AI voice agent?

No. The agent slots into the flow of the PBX, IVR and CRM already running. Existing AzuPhone users switch on the AI voice layer over their current extensions; users on another platform integrate over a SIP trunk.
